In November 2024 we welcomed our latest member of staff to Walterstown NS – Fleur! Fleur is a service dog from My Canine Companion. My Canine Companion is Ireland’s largest service dog provider and Fleur is a therapy dog. MCC developed Ireland’s first school dog therapy programme. Schools have reported a significant improvement in areas of wellbeing, mental health, anxiety, absenteeism and staff and student morale since the introduction of an MCC school therapy dog. Fleur is a very valued member of the staff and brings so much love and support to our wonderful school!
