In 2017, we were privileged to open our three autism classes, known collectively as Le Chéile. Le Chéile is the Irish phrase for “together.” It reflects the shared journey of our pupils as they learn and grow, with opportunities to integrate with pupils from mainstream classes.

Each class has six pupils and is supported by a dedicated team of one teacher and two Special Needs Assistants (SNAs), ensuring a caring and inclusive learning environment. Each class has its own colour – Orange, Aqua and Purple – helping to create a strong sense of identity and belonging.

Each of our Le Chéile classrooms has its own adjoining quiet room and accessible bathroom, thoughtfully designed to support our pupils’ comfort and wellbeing.

We are incredibly proud of our Le Chéile classes and of the warm, supportive spaces they provide. In these environments each child is encouraged, understood and celebrated!
