The Big Travel Challenge 2023

We are asking all who can to park and stride for the month of February to help us in our application for our 9th Green Flag: Global Citizenship Travel.
Our Green Schools Committee will record the number of children who take part. The winning school is in with a chance of winning €1000!

Grandparents’ Day
Last Thursday we welcomed grandparents and special relatives to Walterstown National School. Mass was celebrated in the school hall where those who are no longer with us were remembered. Grandparents and special relatives then had the opportunity to visit the classrooms and enjoyed some light refreshments provided by the Parents’ Association.

Purple Class, Le Chéile
The children in the Purple Class have been keeping very busy this term. Multi sensory approaches make learning extra fun! We have been stamping and print making – we love to design! We have been making a hand display for Grandparents Day and we have also constructed bespoke photo frames as part of the preparations! We have painted 2023 winterscapes using painted bubble wrap background.
