The pupils in Walterstown National School had a fantastic time celebrating Creative Schools this week! We mostly focused on textile art – where fine art and craft collide. Weaving, knotting, beading and braiding (including hair!) were just some of the techniques we learned about. We built an outdoor tepee, made a tapestry from chicken wire, created crazy hairstyles and beautiful dream catchers for our new Sensory Garden.
