St Patrick’s Day
All the boys and girls were busy this week preparing for St. Patrick’s Day. Irish dancing, arts and crafts, singing and a talent show were just some of the festive activities which the children took part in!
Our Device Drive

All of the children in WNS will be taking part in a sponsored Activity Challenge on 16th March 2022. They will each be given a sponsorship card to take home with them. Keep an eye on the website to see the children enjoying skipathons, blitzes, novelty races and many more fundraising activities!
Friendship February Competition Results
Third Class 2022
Third Class are studying Vincent van Gogh and have drawn their own version of Sunflowers. They have taken part in athletics training and are enjoying lego with the children from First Class. They have done projects on marine litter and learned a lot about climate change and sea pollution.

We had a great morning with beautiful weather and we are very proud of our pupils for their hard work and excellent behaviour. Well done!
Green-Schools Committee

We are going to apply for our 8th Green Flag for Global Citizenship and the Marine Environment in April. All classes will be doing a variety of lessons, projects and experiments on the theme of Marine Litter over the next six weeks.
Grandparents’ Day

Please take the time to read our poem and activity list! Maybe you could choose an activity to try with your grandparent over the weekend or over midterm break? Maybe you could read the grandparents’ poem to them over the phone? We create special memories when we spend time with our grandparents!
Sacraments 2022
School principals met this morning with Father Aquinas at the Parish Office to arrange the sacraments for the year ahead. See below:
- First Confession will take place in Ballymore Church @ 7pm on March 24th
- First Communion will take place in Ballymore Church @ 11am on May 7th.
- Confirmation dates will be finalised in the coming days.
We are looking forward to all the celebrations in 2022!

Christmas 2021 at Walterstown
The children have designed their own Christmas cards, baked gingerbread men and dressed up in their Christmas jumpers! They have painted Rudolphs, Christmas puddings and even sugar plum fairies! They have created a festive, magical atmosphere in the school and would like to wish you all a very Happy Christmas!!!
